ZSFG Reads

Find something to read at the ZSFG Library!

Introducing ZSFG Reads!

ZSFG Reads is a new program by the ZSFG Library to provide popular and general reading material to ZSFG patients, staff, and visitors. The collection features a selection of fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books to delight, inspire, and entertain the entire ZSFG community.

There is no catalog for the collection -- instead, please feel free to browse our collection of books on the shelves, grouped into general sections of fiction, nonfiction and children's books. Bring any books you wish to check out to the desk; no ID is required.

Visit the library or contact us for more information.

Want to help out? Donate to our book drive!

We’re currently building the ZSFG Reads collection, and we would love to have your gently-used, non-medical books to add to our library. You can drop off books at the ZSFG Library on the first floor of Building 30 during our open hours, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.  We cannot accept books at any other time.  Please only donate books -- if you would like to donate multimedia like DVDs or tapes, we encourage you to donate them to the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.

We accept:

Fiction (bestsellers, classics, mystery, romance, sci-fi/fantasy, etc)

Non-fiction (History, popular science, biography, self-help, hobby books, etc)

Anthologies (poetry and short stories)

Children’s books (all ages and reading levels, including young adult)

Magazines (no older than 2015)

Paperbacks or hardcover
